Hampden Marketplace

Hampden Township, Cumberland County, PA

ARP Wertzville Road, LLC awarded to us the design for their 70+ acre commercial subdivision in Hampden Township at the highly visible intersection of I-81 and Wertzville Road.  An additional 17+ acres will be dedicated to the township as open space and may eventually be developed into a township park.

The first building constructed in the development was the 74,000 square foot Giant Food Store with several small retail spaces adjacent to the grocery store.  A Giant Fuel Island was also constructed near the store to complement the store and their popular Bonus Card savings program.  The development has several areas available for additional retail or office development.  Susquehanna Bank constructed one of their branches near the entrance of the development.

Martin's Food Market

Rising Sun, Cecil County, Maryland

Some of the challenges that we overcame with this project include having to acquire two zoning changes, and consolidating four separate tracts from three land owners.  The existing site dropped 40 feet from the back to the front property line in a short distance, approximately 240,000 cubic yards of earth needed to be removed from the site to fit the client's needs, including a portion of the site that had to be cut 30 feet deep.  More . . .
